Business / problem drafting - Draft

Starting with a well defined and understood jobs to be done can save a lot of time and drastically increase the quality of the project.

The goal of this step is to come up with a new jobs to be done, tackling a real problem to solve.

Framework

Sequence

  1. Define the innovation-scope
  2. Identify and define the customer-segment
  3. Check the innovation scope filter
  4. Identify the different dimension of the combination of your Innovation scope and Customer segment.
  5. Write 5-7 jobs to be done, all tackling a different dimension.
  6. Flag the most relevant Jobs to be done - to help you focus on later on.
  7. Good practice: write down your thoughts, your first opinion, ideas, sparkles, risks, …
  8. Identify and list all your easy access leads you have in mind for the Draft interviews.
  9. Run the Draft interviews. You might discover new Jobs to be done, or reprioritize your flagged ones.
  10. Did you discovered a new Jobs to be done ? Please, try to run 1 or 2 more Draft interviews.
  11. Are you feeling excited you think you have something ? Create a One pager.
  12. Present your One pager to the team.
